Full Description

The MSN in Advanced Care Management & Leadership Program's Nursing Administration & Health Policy at Kennesaw State University prepares nurse leaders for a myriad of healthcare institutions and agencies, especially for roles that are expanding in scope and intensifying in complexity related to healthcare administration and nursing policy. The program is available ON-LINE and takes only 15 months to complete! Please note: Students are required to come to campus once or twice a semester.

The Advanced Care Management & Leadership Program's Health Policy program prepares nursing graduates for leadership and administrative positions in healthcare. The Master of Science in Nursing program is grounded in practice and guided by healthcare theory and research. Graduates will be prepared to apply for specific certification offered by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. The on-line/web enhanced track focuses on:

  • Healthcare policy theory, issues, finance and operations
  • Conflict management
  • Global initiatives in healthcare
  • Leadership strategies in development and implementation
  • Transformational leadership skills, organization assessment, business ethics
  • Climate analysis, communication, cultural competency and information management
  • Ethical decision making

Other cost considerations:
    Average cost of course materials: Varies by course and program. Electronic rate of $1149 is the average cost per 3 credit hour online graduate course. Associated fees of $355 per semester for online only students. The Student Services Fees and Parking Permit Fees will be waived for any student taking all online courses, regardless of the discipline. The Institutional ($300) and Technology Fees ($55) are mandatory for all students and are not waived.

Credit Transfer Policy

Graduate courses taken at another accredited institution must be evaluated and approved by the Admissions Committee of the program you are wishing to enter. It is at the department's discretion to accept credits taken from a previous institution.

General Transfer Information: When a transfer student is fully accepted to Kennesaw State University, the Office of Admissions notifies the Office of the Registrar that a transcript has been received. Transcripts are evaluated in the order they are received from the Office of Admissions and are completed within 4-6 weeks. Once completed, an email confirmation of transfer evaluation is forwarded to the student and transfer credits may be viewed on the Owl Express transcript.
