Full Description

The Associate of Science with transfer area in Criminal Justice is designed to provide students with an understanding of the principles and practices of the criminal justice system in the United States. Students will learn about the essential components of the criminal justice system, including police, courts, and corrections. The program strives to prepare students to be successful as criminal justice professionals in a variety of careers including law enforcement, corrections, and security.

Credit Transfer Policy

Once a student has been accepted and all official transcripts have been received from previously attended colleges or universities, the Registrar's Office does an evaluation of transferable credits. A copy of this evaluation is provided to the department of your major. This evaluation should be used when you first meet with your advising department prior to registration. Courses with a grade of C or better from other accredited colleges or universities will transfer provided the course content corresponds to the courses at Middle Georgia State College.

Pay online or send the application agreement statement and a nonrefundable application fee (check, money order, MasterCard, or Visa) to the Office of Admissions within 10 business days. Submit a completed immunization form before registration (required), housing application (if applicable), and scholarship application. All students attending classes on campus are required to submit our immunization form. Students taking only online course are exempt from this requirement.
