Program Description

A Hands-On Approach to Learning with the

Master's of Systems Engineering Program

Georgia Tech's College of Engineering, the division of Georgia Tech Professional Education (GTPE) and the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) collaboratively designed the Professional Master's in Applied Systems Engineering (PMASE) program for experienced professionals interested in building and expanding their systems engineering expertise. Our systems engineering master's program offers a practical, hands-on approach to learning how to successfully integrate systems engineering processes to gain a competitive advantage in any industry.

Program Focus

The Professional Master's in Applied Systems Engineering (PMASE) program looks at the systems engineering process as a comprehensive, multi-disciplined function by focusing on the following principles:

  • Systems Engineering Process
  • Systems Requirements Engineering
  • Analysis and Design
  • Integration
  • Modeling and Simulation
  • Verification and Validation
  • Team leadership and Management

This master's in systems engineering will help students develop the skills and knowledge necessary to successfully compete in the global market. Students gain real-world experience by collaborating in a team environment. They will learn how to think strategically to determine project plans and identify areas of risks.

Students enrolled in the Professional Master's in Applied Systems Engineering (PMASE) program become part of a tight-knit work group called a cohort. A cohort is a group of students that are taking the same classes on the same schedule in pursuit of the same goal.

PMASE's hybrid format enables students to participate through:

  • Interaction and instruction via the latest distance learning technology
  • Pre-recorded learning modules available on-demand online
  • Live instruction and activities in Atlanta during campus visits

Through this unique format we are able to offer our students the ability to continue their education without interfering with their full-time job.
