Program Description

The Certificate in European Union Studies is a collaborative effort of numerous University System of Georgia institutions. This program must be taken in conjunction with a 4-year degree offered at Southwestern. Its purpose is to promote knowledge of the European Union and certify individuals as they become competent in European studies. As the European Union is one of the most important economic and political partners of the United States, this certification demonstrates valuable professional expertise to potential employers and would be a beneficial complement to the bachelor’s degree

Admissions Information

Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 . Students must have earned 30 semester hours of credit. Students must have credit for HIST 1111, HIST 1112, or POLS 2401 prior to acceptance in the EU Certificate Program. POLS 3200/EURO 3234 requires a minimum grade of C or higher.
