Certificate for Teaching College History
Certificate offered provides the 18 credit hours of content courses that qualify students to teach dual enrollment courses and core curriculum undergraduate History courses. Certificate is offered by a SACS-accredited, non-profit regional comprehensive university. Courses are offered by distinguished professors with Graduate Status (Ph. D. and publication in their field of experience). Certificate can be completed in 12 months (3 semesters), but students have up to 7 years to complete the program at their own pace. Certificate can be earned completely online or through a mix of online and face-to-face courses. Course content will include 1 online course providing content for teaching U.S. History college surveys, 1 online course providing content for teaching World History surveys, and 4 online or face-to-face courses providing specialized content.
