Program Description

The Bachelor of Science in Integrative Studies program allows students to create an individualized curriculum composed of courses and experiences which meet their individual career needs. This approach is different from many traditional, discipline-based baccalaureate programs which are designed in part to prepare students for advanced work in a specific academic discipline-in history or biology, for example. This flexibility enables students to develop academic plans that meet the ever-changing requirements of the world of work

Beyond satisfying the core curriculum, Integrative Studies majors are required to select a concentration related to their career interest, complete an internship, a capstone class, and electives. The department offers eight different concentrations: o Cultural Studies o Fine Arts Performance o Health & Discovery o Helping Professional o Organizational Enterprise o Social Justice and Corrections o Technology and Information Sciences o Workplace Leadership
