Full Description

The online Associate of Arts degree program in general studies provides an online option for prospective students who desire a two-year associate degree but are unable to obtain the coursework in the traditional manner. Courses will be designated in the East Georgia College course schedule as online courses (W). Students will be able to plan a full program in general studies which will be available entirely online. Some courses may require proctored examinations; test sites local to students are usually available.

Limited campus visits.  A maximum of two campus visits required per term.

Completion of any Learning Support or College Preparatory Curriculum (CPC) courses

Online Tuition Rate$ 231.00 USD (Average per course cost, Not including fees)

** Actual tuition costs may vary, based on the program, student level and student major. Please be sure to contact the college or university for your specific tuition and fee amounts.

Other cost considerations:
    Students may have to pay for test proctoring. Currently, we charge the same rates for online programs as those held on campus. Tuition rates are subject to change.

Total Hours Required to Earn Degree/Certificate: 60-62 (semester hours)
Maximum Hours Transferable into Program: 60-62

Credit Transfer Policy

Students should consult with the campus where they intend to transfer as to how courses in EGA's AA program will fit into a bachelor's degree program of study. Depending on the math and science courses a student takes in Area D, transfer credits will be 60, 61, or 62 hours.

Special Credit Transfer Information

When students complete their AA at EGA, all courses with C or better should be transferrable to USG institutions.
